PARISH PICNIC

St. Mary Parish holds its annual Community Picnic in August. The picnic is always well attended and enjoyed by all. The Knights of Columbus grill up delicious hamburger, hot dogs, and brats. A number of fun activities are available for kids of all ages.

FAITH AND FAMILY

Faith and Family is a group of St. Mary’s moms (both from the school and in the parish), who get together the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 8:30 a.m. in Marian Hall. This group focuses on friendships and feeling welcome. We start each meeting with a brunch and then follow with small prayer time. Then we enjoy a speaker or small group discussions on a variety of topics including parenting, prayer, family, women’s issues, and sometimes just something fun!

MOTHERS AND OTHERS

At present, this group is inactive and is looking for a coordinator. The following have been activities of this group: Brunches and Parent Enrichment; parties; adult fellowship; play groups; caring and sharing; babysitting co-op; community services; spiritual activities; general worship; Mom’s Night Out.

NEWCOMERS MINISTRY

This group welcomes new parish members into St. Mary’s Parish family. They offer information and assistance in matters pertaining to the parish. Newcomers may register in the Church vestibule on the first weekend of each month, or from Monday through Friday at the Pastoral Office.

SENIOR SOCIAL

The Senior Social meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesdays of the month, in Marian Hall from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for bridge, rummy-oh, and other games. There is also a group that meets at the same time to make rosaries.

SINGLES

St. Mary’s Singles group is inactive and is looking for a coordinator (s). However, please visit our web page to keep up-to-date with Catholic singles activities going on around the Archdiocese, and for information about our group. We also coordinate with area Catholic churches to participate with their events.

SPORTS

Our Youth within the parish, both school and non-school, have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports activities. Please contact Ruth Wood, school Athletic Director, at 720-283-4750, for more information.

SUNSHINE CLUB

The Sunshine Club is a group for Seniors who are 60 years of age and over. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in Marian Hall. This club provides a “day out” for those wishing for friendly conversation, fun, and camaraderie. After the Rosary, a short business meeting is held and refreshments are served. Other activities may include a speaker, bingo, or lunch at a nearby restaurant.
