Attention Parents of First Graders!
If your first grader does not attend St. Mary School and you would like him or her to receive First Communion here in second grade, that child needs to be enrolled in our Religious Education program this year.
Our First Reconciliation / First Communion program will be a two-year program as of the fall of 2012, so children entering second grade at that time will need to have completed first grade religious education in order to participate.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an approach to the religious formation of children. It is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the church, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori. Children gather in an "atrium," a room prepared for them, which contains simple yet beautiful materials they use to help them absorb the most essential proclamations of the Christian faith.

Totus Tuus - Totally Yours
This summer Catholic catechetical program is led by groups of young adult teachers who share the richness of the Catholic faith with the youth. The week-long curriculum consists of fun activities, interactive lesson plans, and Catholic liturgy and prayer with a daytime program for grades 1 - 6 and an evening program for grades 7 – 12.
Vacation Bible School
Each year this theme-based week-long program uses Bible stories, religious song, arts and crafts, skits, and other engag-ing activities to teach 4-year olds through 5th graders about their Catholic faith. Older students and adults serve as volunteers.
