About St. Mary Parish School
St. Mary Parish School was established
to provide both academic and religious instruction for the children of
the parish and has successfully provided thousands of students with an
outstanding Catholic education for more than fifty years. We enroll students
in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and house over five hundred students
on our secured campus.
Remodeling, and the construction of a new addition housing the preschool
and primary grades, was recently completed. The new facilities provide
students with a state-of-the-art learning environment, while still keeping
the warm personal atmosphere for which St. Mary's is known.

Our Parish School Can Benefit Your Child In Many Ways
• St. Mary’s School is accredited through North Central Accreditation.
• We are dedicated to providing an education that forms the “whole” child, spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally.
• We offer a complete academic curriculum, which includes classes in art, music, physical education, speech, computer and Spanish. Our student-teacher ratio is 23:1.
• Students at St. Mary’s receive the benefits of the latest in computer technology, including a full computer lab, a mobile laptop lab, and interactive learning tools. Each class has its own website. St. Mary’s own FastDirect program allows students, parents, and teachers to communicate, view assignments and announcements, and in the near future, view grades. Please visit our FastDirect site to view current activities and a school calendar.
• Our school employs resource teachers, a counselor and health aides in the school office.
• Our students receive daily instruction in religion and attend Mass weekly. Students in second grade are prepared for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion, and students in seventh grade are prepared for the sacrament of Confirmation.
• Our students have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities, which include sports, a school newspaper, boy and girl scouts, and student council as well as chess and speech teams.
• In sports, our students compete in the Catholic School Athletic League. Our sports program includes coed soccer for grades 5 to 8, intramural coed basketball for grades 3 and 4, competitive basketball for boys and girls in grades 5 to 8, volleyball for girls in grades 5 to 8, and baseball for boys in grades 5-8.
• We offer a Before & After School program (SMEED) for students. SMEED opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m. Cost per student varies by the number of children and time spent in the program.
• We have a very active Home and School Association (P.T.O.) as well as a School Advisory Council.
• St. Mary’s remains one of the largest Catholic elementary “feeder” schools into Mullen and Regis Jesuit High School.
Registration for the next academic year is done in late-winter or
early-spring.
