The Way of Fire: Praying with the Heart

Saturdays: 9:30 am – 10:45 am, May 27 – July 1

Let the Disciples of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary lead you on a six-week journey into the heart of prayer. Discover how to open yourself to God’s concrete action in your life every day, for healing, happiness, and greater peace. Each session covers practical instruction for effective prayer, plus time to practice what you learned. Sessions conclude with Q & A.

This series is highly recommended for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and Lectors. God calls us first to prayer, then to service.

Discover the roots of our Catholic faith in the U.S. with Fr. Javier Nieva, DCJM. Visit the shrines of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, Divine Mercy, Our Lady of Czestochowa, and more. We’ll attend Mass every day, in locations as diverse as at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Shrine of the Miraculous Medal, Sts. Peter and Paul (with Archbishop Chaput), and Queen of Apostles Parish (DCJM). Among other traditional historical sites, we’ll visit Ground Zero in New York City, and St. Paul’s chapel which miraculously survived 9/11 and served as a vital piece to the recovery and renewal of the area.

This trip is a pilgrimage rather than a “tour.” Each day will allow time for individual prayer, as well as Mass, morning and evening prayer. The cost is $3,186, which is inclusive of air, gratuities, breakfasts, and most dinners.
