Bethlehem is a faith-formation program to prepare children to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, 1st Communion, and Confirmation. Our Bethlehem program includes: 1) Weekly Classes which deepen knowledge of the Universal Church and strengthen relationships within our parish family, 2) Family Retreats which provide rich experiences of prayer, faith and sacramental preparation and 3) Liturgical Celebrations, where the fullness and beauty of Christ’s love and mercy are received through the Sacraments. Sessions are held as follows:

*Weekly Classes on Sunday Morning, 8:10 – 9:10a -or- 11:00a-12:00p (choose one)
*Family Retreats on Saturday Afternoon/Eve. (4 per year for 2nd year families only – see schedule)
As the primary educators of their children, parents will attend “Coffee & Catechesis” classes during the children’s class time, and lead their child at home in simple weekly lessons (such as My Catholic Faith Delivered Online) prior to class. Confirmation Preparation (6th Grade – 12th Grade)

If you are who you should be, you will set the world on fire! (St. Catherine of Siena)

The Sacrament of Confirmation helps us become who God has created us to be. It “unites us more firmly to Christ, it renders our bond with the Church more perfect, and it gives us the special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith” (CCC 1303). St Mary Confirmation Preparation is about supporting parents as the primary educators in the faith for their children and encouraging students to take ownership of their faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. Through dynamic weekly classes, daily ten minute reading or video lessons, and fun and in-depth retreats, Confirmation leaders seek to guide each student closer to Christ and the Catholic Church. Sessions are held on Sundays, 10:50am – 12:15pm (immediately following the 9:30am Mass), in the St Mary Youth Room which is located in the northwest parking lot near the School Gym.  We will begin on September 18, 2016 and continue through May 7, 2017.
